What is energy conservation?
  • use energy every single day
  • there is human energy
  • the most energy we use is gasoline and electricity
  • the only problem is that we waste a lot of it
  • a lot of people helping to save it but its not enough
  • we need everyone helping and that means YOU!
  • some people don't know how or can't think of ideas

Ways to save energy.
cutting your shower by two minutes saves 10 gallons of water
Im sure you've already heard these simple ways to save
energy but, i'm going to say them anyway.
  • turn off lights every time you leave a room
  • use fluorescent light bulbs
  • put signs but light switches saying "Turn off the lights!"
  • Un-plug all aplliances when not in use.
  • turn apliances off
  • turn the heat down and wear sweatshirts
  • switch from hot to warm water when washing clothes or dishes and you can save enough energy to do another load of laundry
  • during the summer, keep the blinds closed and during the winter keep the blinds open. this will help you take advantage of the natural light.
  • turn

Did you know? (these will all be shocking facts that suport conserving energy so that I can change the audiences' mind how they conserve energy.)
  • windmills generate less than 25% of the electricity that they could in the summer and winter (this is when electricity is most needed)
  • in 2000 950 kilowatt-hours were consumed by the average family in one month! if you used this same amount of energy by burning coal, it would take between 700-890
  • even when electronics are turned off, they still comsume electricity just by being plugged in. This wastes so much energy that it equals always having a 100-watt light bulb plugged in
